Light cycle arena

Difficulty

Left rider (cyan) is you: Arrow keys or W A S D, one quarter turn per press. Space pauses, R resets. On touch, swipe the arena or use the buttons under it. The magenta rider is a deterministic in-page AI: it casts a lookahead ray in each candidate direction and turns before walls and trails. Round wins and the score are computed here and kept as local data for this session, so there is no server leaderboard and the page makes no network calls.

Frame-rate governor

Measuring the display, cap pending.

Work frames / s--

Display refresh / s--

Cap applied--

Battery--

Cap source--

Both numbers are counted from real timestamps in the page. The simulation steps on a fixed 60 Hz clock, so the cycles travel at the same speed at any frame rate; what the governor removes is the per-frame simulation and drawing work it skips. Toggle it and the work-frames number moves between the cap and the display refresh value. That gap is the cap doing real work, not an estimate.

Battery-aware behaviour

Reading battery state.

The governor is a deterministic, inspectable rule engine rather than a learned model: it caps harder on battery, tighter below 20 percent, and relaxes again when the device is plugged in. Where the Battery Status API is unavailable it falls back to the manual cap and says so on screen, rather than inventing a reading.
